So starting in patch 5.2, gathers and crafters relics were implemented. This blog is just going over where to get the items needed to upgrade the relic for fisher. Now understand, when gathering the items needed- you do not need to equip the relic or the relic +1. I gathered everything with my facet fishing rod. Now if you already did a relic, you need go to Denys to pay the basic rod.
You also need to pay bait from Denys. I would buy at least a stack or two of the bait. When I was doing this for my relic- I when through over two stacks.
The first fish to catch is in the Dravanian Hinterlands. Teleport to Idyllshire and head out to X: 18.4, Y: 18.6.
The fish you want to catch is the Thinker's Coral.
You will need to catch 40 high quality Thinker's Coral. The best time to catch this fish is during Fair and Clear skies. It doesn't matter what time of day, but easier to catch during those weather patterns.
Now if you want you can go back to Denys and turn in the fish and rod to upgrade.
You don't have to, you can also just go to Coerthas Western Highlands to get the next fish. Honestly, teleport to Tailfeather, mount up, and travel to Coerthas Western Highlands. The spot you need is not far from the border of the Forelands and Highlands.
The fish you want here is the Dragonspine.
You will need 60 high quality Dragonspine. The best time to catch this fish is during snow and blizzards. Yet again, doesn't matter the time of day, but easier to catch during those weather patterns.
Once you get the 60- go to Denys and trade the fish and +1 relic to the Dragonsung Rod.
After this- Congrats you completed the relic fishing rod for 5.2 and need to wait till 5.3 for more of the relic go forward.
