Check all those- good- go to Western Thanlan to X:12, Y:14 and talk with Nedrick Ironheart to start the quest The Weaponsmith of Legend. He looks like this:
You then speak with Rowena in Mor Dhona at X:21, Y: 4 (and by the way- you'll be speaking with her a few time- so just remember her location)
You will then need to travel to North Shroud to X:30, Y:20 and speak with Gerolt
Now, that the starter quest is done you can officially start A Relic Reborn quest- and note for every job after your first one- you start at this quest!
Now there are 10 steps for this part. So this entry will only cover this quest due to that. So lets begin!
Talk with Gerolt and he will first talk about repairing kettles till he sends you to a locations to find a broken weapon that will later turn into the Relic. Depending on your job, will depending on your location. Below is the information:
When I did it for my Ninja it looked like this:
Once you collected your broken weapon- go back to Gerolt who will tell you how he would never thought in his wildest dreams he would see the relic, however its beyond repair. He states that he will need a vessel to restore the relic so base on your class will depend on what weapon you will need to bring him- as well as the weapon being melded with 2 materia!
Once you get the host with materia acquired- give it to Gerolt. He'll tell you that it's will serve as a good vessel to restore the relic and goes to work.
He tells you he need alumina salts to continue his work. Gerolt lets you know- you need to take down the dhorme chimera that is in the Coerthas Central Highland. If it's your first time- you need to go to X:32, Y:6 to entrance of "A Relic Reborn: The Chimera." This is an 8 person raid- however if you are level 80- you can most likely take it down on your own unsynced. I did it on my ninja level 80 unsynced.
After taking out the Chimera, give the salts to Gerolt. He will add it to the relic but say it needs more. Off to Rowena, who will tell you she wants an Amdapor Glyph from Amdapor Keep. Hope you already unlocked it- however if you haven't- talk with our guy Nedrick Ironheart and do the quest Ghost of Amdapor. Don't have that available- you need to complete the Aurum Vale dungeon. Yea we all still hate it too.
However queue for Amdapor Keep- you can either do this with 3 other friends or if your high enough unsynced and nuked the dungeon! Once that is done, hand Rowena her Glyph- however don't head over to North Shroud just yet. Go over to X:22, Y:6 and talk with Auriana. Go to the Allagan Tomestones of Poetics (Special Arms) tab and grab a Radz-at-Han Queching Oil and 3 Thavnairian Mist. You will need this later.
Go to North Shroud and speak Gerolt. He tells you- you have to kill 3 different type of beastmen and 8 of each of them. Yet again- depending on the job will depend on what you need to kill and where. Make sure you have the unfinished weapon equip or it will not count.
After killing the beastmen, back to North Shroud you go. Gerolt will then send you to kill Hydra. Go to Eastern Thanlan to Halatali (X:14, Y:30) and open "A Relic Reborn: The Hydra." With the unfinished relic, queue for the Hydra (which is an 8 man or do it unsynced).
Once the Hydra is down, talk with Gerolt. You will need to give him the unfinished relic for him to work on. Afterward he will tell you that he needs you to kill Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan. So into the hardmodes of each of them. Yet again- either go in with a party of 8 or unsynced. I will say, Titan can be a pain because of the jails. So that on you how you want to go- might want a friend to help you with that one.
Deliver the 3 items from the primals- and if you listened earlier and already bought the Radz-at-Han. Then literally, you had the primals, he will ask for the oil and the quest is done. You have the first step to your relic completed!
Gerolt will be amazed and you can do one more step to upgrade before continuing your relic quest for ARR-Literally walk behind Gerolt to the moogle. You will see furnace.
Click on the furnace and yet again if you listened earlier- just put the relic you just received and the 3 Thavnairian Mist- and now it's upgraded to a Zenith!
Congratulations- now you can start on the Zodiac portion of the Relic quest for ARR!
