Shadowbringers Relic Weapon (Resistance weapon) and Start of Bozja

Your now 80 and have completed the MSQ- Shadowbringer. Congratulation on getting up to this level. Now you can start on your Resistance weapon. Now to even start on the Relic you will have to be 1- level 80 on the job you want to do the relic for, 2- complete the main story of Shadowbringers, and 3- complete the level 70 24-man raid series called "Return to Ivalice" Raid. You will not be able to move forward without all 3 of these completed.

Sortof like with Eureka- there are really 2 parts to the Weapon. The actual weapons storyline and Bozjan area storyline. You will need to complete both to be able to have a completed Resistance Weapon. These guides will split into a weapons guide and a Bozjan guide. However you will start both Bozjan and the Resistance weapon with the following quests.

If you need to complete the "Return to Ivalice" Raid series, go to Kugane and talk with Keiten at X:12.2, Y: 12.3. The quest name is Dramatis Personae.

Once you complete all three raids and completed the final quest of the raid series called The City of lost Angels, go back to Keiten. The quest- Hail to the Queen will be available. This will be the start of the relic questline, as well as the Bozja Southern Front. Note for the first part of the relic- you do not need to do the southern front HOWEVER for the second part you will need to complete it. This guide will only cover the relic, another guide will cover the quests involved with Bozja Southern Front.

After accepting the quest, you will be directed to go to the Ruby Bazaar and talk with Hancock.

During the conversation- you will be given a choice of what to say to Hancock.

After speaking with Hancock, your directed to find Lord Hien. First go to the House of Fierce and speak to the Doman Attendant.

The attendant directs you to the remains of the Doman Castle.

There you will find another Attendant (X: 16.2, Y: 8.6) which will lead to cutscene.

During this cutscene, Lord Hein introduces you to Marsak.

Your given the choice of what to say and you proceed on your merry way.

From here you accept the next quest and go to the Doman Enclave and hit up the Airship pilot (X: 9.0, Y: 8.7) . If your uncertain of his location- go to the docks like you if you wanted to take the ferry to Yanxia.

The pilot will take you to a new area now- Gangos.

Here you will met the leaders of the Resistance and a few people you already know.

You will get another choice in text.

Now Mikoto tell the group about going into a person mind to view their memories.

Yet again another choice text for you comes up.

Mikoto explains that with the Echo that the WOL has could be useful and makes Gerolt the first guinea pig.

With the crystal in your hand you can peer into Gerolt memories.

You get to peer into Gerolt memories and a recent memory of him and Rowena.

However what is also learned is that memories can also be be changed to protect the user- in this case Gerolt seems to have a thing with Rowena.

With the walk through memory lane ended. Gerolt decides he is not feeling well and runs off. Now Marsak states that this would be wonderful news to make the Bozja Blades. However many who saw the replicas died ages ago with the fall of the citadel.

However both the WOL and Mikoto have a vision of the future. In this vision, you see Cid Garlord on the very table Gerolt was on- but what looks to be a horrible nightmare.

After the vision is over, both Marsak and Bajsaljen realize that then need to ask help from Cid- the son of the person who basically wiped the citadel and surrounding areas off the face of the map. They are not happy, but realize Cid may have viewed the replicas in the citadel. If he did, forging the Bozja Blades could happen. With that you go to find Cid.

Go to Rhalgr's Reach in hopes of finding Cid. Find the Ironworks Engineer (X: 11.8, Y: 11.8) at Rhalgr's Reach. Her you meet a Viera named Lilja- the newest recruit to the Ironworks. She tells you that Cid is actually busy... sortof before Jessie comes in. You explain to Jessie what is going on and contacts Cid. While that happens, you have an interesting chat with Lilja, and then Jessie runs her off- she needs to work you know!

Jessie lets you know that Cid will met you at the Doman Enclave, but also lets you in on some information about Cid. Cid tried to stop his father's experiment but his father would not listen. Due to this, the Bozja Incident as it is called, happen and Cid blames himself about this. She asks that you be careful and leaves you be.

Back to the Doman Enclave, go back to the Airship Pilot and wait for Cid. Cid comes up and does state that he will help Bozja as best as he can.

Another choice text comes up.

Back at Gangos, Cid joins and makes himself ready for Mikoto and the WOL to go into his memories. These are painful memories for Cid, so expect to take a bit while in his memories.

Using the crystal, it's time to go into the instance.

The Bozja Incident instance starts. You will have 90 minutes to complete this. While in here you will need to help Cid remember.

There will be many choice text that come up to help Cid remember.

You will also have to find clues to help him remember.

After this, Mikoto and Cid see if you can temper with ones memories and join in the fight.

However this doesn't change the memory and you move on to the next fight.

Once you finally reach the citadel- a cutscene will happen.

Time to fight Bahamut.

After you finish the fight- you witness a younger version of Cid try and reason with his father.

Pick up the Discarded Documents and going into the last section.

There, Cid remembers that yes he did see the replicas, however he also has to deal with the painful memories of what happen right before the Bozja Incident.

Another choice dialog happens.

Whatever choice you choose- your friends will come and help you defeat Varis.

With Varis defeat, Cid really remembers what happens. It was not Varis who shot him but his father.

Looking closely at Cid's father- you find the sickening discovery- he was temper by a primal. The primal Bahamut. There was no way Cid could have prevented what happen as those years ago. With the matter settled, you return back to Gangos.

With the information needed, the Bozja Blades can be started. The Bozja resistance also thanks Cid for what he did. Bajsaljen states that he blindly hated someone and it was for no good reason. With Cid parting, you can now start the Relic weapon and also use the Doman Aethernet to go directly to Gangos now!

Last cutscene plays out, with 2 Garlean commanders. Between the two, you find out that there is a spy amount the Resistance and that the Empire knows that they are starting work on the blades. However the one states that the Lady of Blades will soon be in play. It's also stated that the empire will fall and a new organization will come into play.

With that the Save the Queen- first part is done. Now this guide will split between the Bozja Front and the Resistance Weapons. Remember you will need to complete both to have a finish relic and luckily the quest you just completed- do not need to be completed again.

FYI- for the Bozjan Southern Front- all quest will be needed to be completed once. Once you complete that- you don't have to do again. However for the Resistance weapon- certain quest will be needed to be completed again if you do multiple weapons. Luckily- some of the more grindy quest only need to be completed once. In those quest, it will be noted.

Happy Grindy/ Progging everyone!
